Julie Molison
MA, LCMHCA
OCD & Anxiety Disorder Specialist
“Connect before you correct” is a memorable quote that Julie has taken with her since graduate school. She has spent the past two years putting these words into motion in her position as a staff therapist at A Little Counseling. Julie has served as a Staff Therapist, helping children, adolescents, and adults with anxiety disorders, depression, and OCD regain daily functioning to live more fulfilling lives. She thrives and has had great success with even the most complex cases. She brings dedication, compassion, knowledge, curiosity, and greatness into the clinical setting.
“I find it highly rewarding to provide a safe empathetic, and competent space for those suffering with high anxiety and/or OCD. I look forward to connecting with you so we can collaborate on a plan based upon your values to facilitate greater resilience and healing.”
Julie’s training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), and Inference-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT). She takes an eclectic approach to treatment and pulls from DBT and ACT when appropriate. Julie additionally brings a trauma informed approach to her clients which is supported by ongoing supervision and consultation from trauma specialists in the field.
Outside of the office, Julie is often somewhere reading a therapy book with coffee in hand! She loves watching Parks and Rec, or The Office with her husband, hiking in Colorado or Tennessee, Pure Barre, and taking care of her two Holland Lops.
